ROBERT M. KLOS
HORNELL - Robert M. "Bob"
Klos, 59, of St. Charles, Md., formerly of Hornell, died Friday
(Oct. 15, 2004) at Southern Maryland Hospital, following a brief
illness.
Born in Hornell on July
14, 1945, he was the son of William and Irene (Eicher) Klos.
Bob grew up in Hornell,
and was a graduate of St. Ann's School, and later graduated from
Hornell High School. Following graduation, he spent three years in
the U.S. Coast Guard, followed by 21 years in the U.S. Air Force.
While serving his country, Bob continued his education, earning his
degree in engineering.
Following his discharge
from the Air Force, he was employed as an engineer at Lockheade-Martin
Company in Washington, D.C. for about 20 years, retiring just two
weeks ago.
Bob was preceded in death
by his brother, William Klos, who died in 2002.
Surviving are two
daughters; Julie (Jerry) Haston of Richmond, Va., and Donna (Robert)
Sturgeon of Columbus, Neb.; his parents, William and Irene Klos of
Hornell; his sister, Pat Lathers of Hornell, three grandchildren;
Jared Sturgeon, Josh Sturgeon, and Matthew Haston; nieces and
nephews.
Funeral
arrangements were made by the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St.,
Hornell.
