DAVID B. DAILEY, SR.

 IRMO, SOUTH CAROLINA/HORNELL, NEW YORK - David B. Dailey, Sr. passed away Sunday (May 23, 2010) in Durham, N.C., after a long courageous fight with brain cancer. He was known by his family and friends as Dave, Dad, Papa, granddad, DB, Double D and back in the day, Alice as in Alice Cooper.

 Dave loved life and everybody in it, his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends, he never met a stranger as they became friends the minute he smiled. 

He loved music, Alice Cooper, Neil Young, Lynyrd Skynyrd and so many more. He enjoyed singing, playing guitar, working on the house and just sitting in the quiet of his backyard watching nature and sipping coffee and having a cigarette.

 He graduated from Hornell High School, class of 1975.

Dave worked at Eastman Kodak of Rochester for 25 years before moving to South Carolina in 2004, where he worked at Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel for five years before becoming ill with brain cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas, and brother, Danny. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patricia (Wing) Dailey; sons, David (Jamie) Dailey Jr., Ryan Dailey; daughters, Jammie (Christopher) Mullen, Kelly (Don) Barager; grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Hannah, Emilee, Presely, Elin and one on the way; mother, Patricia Dailey; brothers, Timmy, Dennis, Jeff; sisters, Linda, Teresa, Carol, Patti and Diana; and many nieces and nephews.

Dave will be cremated at the Dunbar Funeral Home in Irmo, S.C. There will be a memorial at 11 a.m. June 19 at St. Annís Church. Anyone wishing to make a contribution in his memory can do so to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center.
