Joseph B. Spendlove, Jr.

(1938 - 2005)







HORNELL - Joseph B. "Joe" Spendlove Jr., 66, of 12 South Maple St., Avoca, died Sunday morning (Feb. 27, 2005) at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.

Born in Hornell Aug. 8, 1938, he was the son of Joseph and Mildred (Dunn) Spendlove Sr.

He was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1957. For over 20 years, he resided in the Pulteney area and had resided in Avoca for the past few years. He was a former employee of the Beach Nut Factory of Rochester.

Joe will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to his family and friends and for his love of animals. He was known to donate countless hours as a volunteer at the Bath Humane Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mildred Spendlove Sr.; and his sister, Jacqueline Edwards, who died in 1961.

Surviving are his brother, Robert Spendlove of Rochester; his sister, Debra (Dan) Hall of Rochester; one niece, Stacey Spendlove of California; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Burial was in the Rural Cemetery.
