ROCHESTER - Richard T. Wood, 35, of 168 Springfield Ave, Rochester, died Tuesday, (July 8, 1986) at Rochester General Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Monday in Rochester,
Born September 13, 1950, in Hornell, New York, he was a 1968 graduate of Hornell High School. He Attended Buffalo State College and graduated with honors from Mohawk Valley Community College.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Viet Nam conflict. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier. He also was employed by Gannett Newspapers in Rochester and Wilson Farm Stores.
He was a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church in Rochester and the Beechwood Branch No. 210, Letter Carriers Union. He was also a sergeant in the Army Reserve.
Survivors are his wife, Kimberly Clifford Wood of Rochester; two daughters, Laurie Eileen and Lisa-Marie, both at home; a son, Richard Travis William Wood, at home; his parents, Carlton and Adele Wood, of Palmdale, Calif.; one sister, Kathleen Wood of Palmdale, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in the Rural Cemetery, Hornell, New York.
