ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.  -  Sherry Lin Braden ,61, "graduated" peacefully from her earthly body to her heavenly body on November 7, 2008. She joined her beloved husband , Thomas , and their son, 'Charlie' , Thomas William ll.

    Sherry was born September 1, 1947 in Hornell , New York. She was the daughter of Harold and Lillian Greenfield. She graduated from Hornell High School in 1965. She met and married Thomas William  Braden, a navy man, in December 1965 and they had two children, Jody Lynn and Thomas William ll, who passed away in 1996. After nearly 40 years of a blessed marriage , her husband passed away in February of 2005.

   Sherry was a devout Christian. That faith and love for the Lord helped her and her loved ones through her time of need in dealing with her cancer. She touched many lives with her positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor. She loved music and enjoyed doing CDs for her family and friends. She had many on-line friends through the HornellHome web site.

    Sherry moved to Virginia Beach in 2005 after her husband passed away. Then most recently resided in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

    Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jody Lynn Curry and her husband , Marc, and their three sons, Marcus , Mason, and Marshall; grand-daughter, Rebecca Lynn Braden; Sherry's siblings, Kent Greenfield and wife Connie, Penny Green, Lance Greenfield and wife, Sandy,  sister Starlene, sister Patricia, brothers David , Ronny and Joel Greenfield. Also, many nieces and nephews along with many beloved friends.

    Sherry Lin's earthly body will be put to rest along side of her husband and son's grave site in Lakeview Cemetery , Penn Yan , New York during a special gathering of family and friends.
