Referencing the numbers printed on the physical pages, some may notice that the first page is immediately followed by "page 10", giving the belief that 1 thru 9 are missing. The book is complete, as originally printed. We believe what we have was extracted from a much larger version that probably covered the entire Southern Tier or even the State of New York. . . local printers probably printed what pertained to their local areas and did not have a capability to alter the page numbering. Give note that the actual publisher, John O'Brien, resided in Binghamton while the company that printed the book was located in Hornell.
