Hornell Children’s Home

Located at 233 Main Street, the Hornell Children’s Home has provided care to Hornell’s less fortunate children since it’s dedication in 1917.

In 1967, the Hornell Children’s Home was changed to a Daycare Center to meet the changing needs of the community.

To honor it’s history, two previous residents of the home, Carolyn Horton Oram and Richard Goodsell, put forth an extensive amount of time and effort compiling a photo presentation of the home. This was their way of saying “thank you” to a place that gave them a home when they needed one.

Paul Eno

Thanks to Paul Eno, Class of 1960, we have a dozen or so photos from 1950 to give insight to what went on inside the Hornell Brewing Co. building.
